Unpleasant as the topic may be, death is a matter of fact and so is the pollution it causes. Social norms have evolved to the point where most peolple don’t think we humans are a part of the ecology of this planet. Because of this many feel that in death they must be preserved and kept seperate from the decomposing wonders of the natural world, Being buried in a concrete tomb and injected with preserving (and extremely toxic) embalming fluid has become not just a comfort but a habit of modern society, one that few are willing to stray from.
